Proposed Rate Adjustment

The Wellborn SUD Board of Directors presented a proposed rate adjustment at their regular board meeting last night July 15, 2025 at 6:00 PM.

As indicated in previous communications, an adjustment in the water rates is necessary to fund our crucial water supply project. This project is an investment in our local water infrastructure that will:
- Solve current production capacity issues, and provide supply expandability to accommodate the high level of growth that is planned for the area.
- Provide water-independence from neighboring entities - heavily reducing production costs and increasing reliability and long-term sustainability.
- Secure our community's share of local groundwater before it is transported to other areas or reserved for institutional use.
The Board intends to adopt the proposed rates at the August 19th regular meeting
